Newzik OMR 2.8.0 was released on October 23rd, 2024. The following items have been changed or fixed:
CHANGED
- Image rendering from pdf imports: enabled more of the prediction networks to work on sliced image for improved detection of certain key symbols (rests, bars, dots, rhythms, stems, letters and digits, slurs) of big scores (chamber music and conductor style scores)
- Image rendering from pdf imports: rearranged image transformations to get better quality images as network inputs
- Cursor alignment: rearranged image transformations to get correct cursor placements (notably in cases of rotations)
FIXES
- fixed scale inputs for NMS, useful for upscale of image inputs of networks
- altered Retina thresholds, loosening thresholds anticipating better results on big scores
- removed superfluous files (images and pickles) that remained on server machines to help with disk usage management
- downgraded protobuf version for compatibility
